Designing furniture for a historic setting
Alain Dupé of a3design designed the entire Strasbourg Cathedral shop interior with Aleker. He used 3D modelling to define bespoke furniture inspired by the proportions of the royal cubit, in keeping with the site’s Gothic architecture.
The project combines light oak, clean lines and discreet LED lighting. The proportions and materials place the furniture within the heritage character of the space.
Alain Dupé followed the project from design through completion with Menuiserie Meeder.
